And so we were trained, to defend the Fatherland from the Imperialistic dominion of the Anglo-Saxons. That vile race that knew no bounds to their ambitious, whose wish was to make the whole world their subjects, to be exploited, whipped and raped… Where we not German? Did our stock not belong to that noble people that halted the very Roman Empire from expansion? We know our past, we know the songs of freedom that come natural to our people. We defeated the imperialistic ambitions of past states, and England, that vile nation of shopkeepers will not succeed where the Roman failed.
Off to war they said. To be a pilot they said. I had good vision and good reflects. My face was covered with Schmisse, Mensur scars that are seen as a badge of honor. Me and my männerbund had dueling since my teens.
I hated the discipline of the military, by the competitive aspect of the air force was exhilarating. Like the black Bundesadler in our Prussian flag, I was to be a bird of prey and wreck havoc upon the our enemies who would like to see us enslaved if not utterly destroyed. Just like the Turks did to Constantinople, impaling the men, castrating the boys, and selling the women and children into slavery, that noble civilization of Greek speaking intellectuals, scientists, philosophers and artists utterly annihilated by the barbarians. Their blood diluted with the rape of the civilized women by the barbarians, whose decedents will know nothing of the glory of their Christian predecessors as they’re most likely to be illiterates, or learn to despise them if some of the inferior barbarian education was distilled with them. We are that new Constantinople, but by the grace of God we still have strong legs and a sharp sword and don’t expect to become a footnote of history!
On to battle dear brothers! To stop the barbarian allies from fathering bastards from the rape of our women! We men are the only thing that stands between our people and the onslaught of our enemies!
And so I fought. In order to survive one does not deliberately get into an engagement without having a certainty of winning, as much certainty as one gets on these encounters… To fight without having the advantage is to throw a coin in the air, and soon enough it will fall against you. Many of the barbarian allies fell before me. I am a bird of prey.
But war is oftentimes a matter of attrition. While we Germans had quality on our side, and were by far man to man the superior warriors, the barbarians had what seemed to be an endless hoard, and more enemies just kept coming to replace the ones we shot down. We became outnumbered, I surrounded. Just like Leonidas and his 300 hundred, the barbarian hoard kept sending more fresh men… and my plane engulfed in flames.
I have my Luger on my side, one quick bullet will end it all. The flames are heating up my coffin, I will be burned alive. No hope for me now. My parents will be devastated. A few girls waiting for me might weep for a short while, but they’ll soon learn to replace and forget me, as is the unloyal nature of women who see as objective morality anything that gives them an advantage at the expense of us expendable men. I sigh, they’re ingrates, but I can’t help but love them. May God protect them and give them long life and good children. I realize my life was short, I hope I played my part men. I wasn’t a coward… and I lived and died as a man to the very end… God I love life and wished to have lived it longer.
A beautiful pistol, but you will not have the honor of ending me. A few seconds more is what I want. I few seconds more, to live as long as possible, a few seconds more…
I am jumping off the plane, I am a bird of prey no more, my wings have been clipped. I fall into a ground that becomes ever closer. This must be what Lucifer felt like from falling from paradise. The ground ever closer, I take one last deep breath… I smell smoke.
