I liked the book overall, it’s an easy read that gives you a broad stroke of data science and it’s applications for business. It argues that the 4th industrial revolution is the most important one, and leaders and businesses will start using data to solve all of their problems, and finding hidden patterns in the data we produce and being able to leverage it is a competitive advantage. It doesn’t get too technical (It’s intended for business leaders and not data scientists) but gives you an overall picture, an explanation of what machine learning is, the most popular ones, how models work in general with some specific examples etc. It most likely has value for the technical team however, since it gets inside the mind of the executive and what they know, what they don’t, and what they need. Often times it’s difficult for the technical and nontechnical teams to communicate ideas.
